Crazy Leroy's Race & Sports Book – Bar & Grill Opens at The Riviera:
The Strip's Most Convenient Sports Book Ready for the Big Game
A 10,000 square-foot, $1million Bettors Paradise
January 22, 2008
(Las Vegas, NV) The Strip's most convenient race and sports book is set to debut on pro football's biggest weekend when The Riviera Hotel and Casino joins Leroy's Race & Sports Book to open Crazy Leroy's Race & Sports Book – Bar & Grill.
The 10,000 square-foot race and sports book is just steps from the famous Las Vegas Strip and less than a football field away from The Riv's valet parking. Crazy Leroy's brings sports bettors the latest in state-of-the-art amenities including 50 high- definition, flat screen TVs and 24 sit-down carrels with built-in monitors.
"Back in the day the Riviera was a huge outpost for sports bettors," said Riviera Las Vegas President Robert Vannucci. "Crazy Leroy's brings that back with the ultimate in convenience to the sports and horse bettor, and takes care of the players who once used the Stardust and the Frontier."
Crazy Leroy's also features its own bar and grille with fresh beers on tap and classic sports food ranging from nachos and burgers, to wings and onion rings. Next door to Crazy Leroy's is The Riv's Poker Room.
"This will be Leroy's flagship operation in the Las Vegas area," said Leroy's Director of Games John Salerno. "Our book operation will be fully renovated with new terminals for ticket writing and two new kiosks. This is really a self-contained sports and race bettors' paradise."
Crazy Leroy's will also feature an electronic board for posting games, results and the latest lines, Salerno said.
"The renovation to the sports and race book represents a $1 million investment," Vannucci said. "It is part of our overall renovation of more than $25 million."
Part of the new look is a 60-foot by 5-foot high-definition reader board which will post live scores and betting lines on The Las Vegas Strip just above the entrance to Crazy Leroy's.
Grand opening of Crazy Leroy's is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 2 and will feature drink and food specials, giveaways and appearances by The Riv's Crazy Girls, stars of Las Vegas' Sexiest Topless Revue.
