Yes, I read a tip in a news letter, and I placed a bet for 10 dollars. I don’t remember much about the game except that my heart was pounding the whole time.

YES, I did. And I was hooked after that.

What is the most memorable bet you have ever made?
Probably, Miami’s win over Nebraska in the Orange Bowl. They were the 11 point underdog and they won the game.

What is your favorite sport?
Favorite sport I would have to say is College football, followed by college basketball.

Who is your favorite team?
Honestly I don’t have a favorite team; whoever won for me last is my favorite.

Have you been in many of these types of contests?
I was in the Stardust Invitational, and I was fortunate enough to win that contest.

Was that the first time you entered a contest?
No, I won that contest on the fourth try.

We publish the Playbook. Playbook is our publishing company. It is a football handicapping magazine that is published yearly. During the football season we publish a weekly newsletter.

How did you get involved in the publishing business?
We started a sports handicapping service in 1975 and it grew into a weekly newsletter about 22 years ago. I would read other peoples news letters or other similar content and I thought I could compile better material than what I was reading.
