Do you remember the first bet you ever made?
Yes, The New York Jets 1969-1970 season when Joe Namath was the quarter back and they won the Super Bowl against the then Baltimore Colts. They were 3 point under dogs and I won it. I was only 13 years old. I think the bet was for 5 dollars.

What was your most memorable bet you have ever made?
Recently, on the Tampa bay Buccaneers in the Super Bowl, against the Oakland Raiders. That was the very first Super Bowl game I had ever gone to in person, so it meant a lot to me as big sports enthusiast to go to my first Super Bowl game. I paid top dollar for the seats off of a broker and to sit mid field 20 rows up. I stayed in La Jolla and the prices were astronomical, but I wanted my wife to enjoy it. I think I spent in the neighborhood of $30,000. So I went double or nothing on the game. I put a large bet on Tampa Bay to beat the Raiders and I had my friend with me who bet me 5,000 in cash, and he took the Raiders. Needless to say Tampa Bay won and the entire trip was paid for by my winnings.

Have you entered into any other tournaments like this, and did you win?
Last year was the first time I had entered into a tournament like this and I lost to Tim Trushell in a very close first round battle. He went 4 and 3 and lost his best bet, and I went 3-3- and 1 and won my best bet. He beat me out. It wasn’t a points system, it was the Stardust invitational. I did the Leroy’s Money Talks contest because I thought it would be an honor to win it.
